In this class, we’re going to be exploring Character Drawing.

During the class, we'll discuss the basics of character drawing such as:

• working with reference pictures;


• learning about a basic human figure, its proportions, and types;


• finding out how to make the poses more lively;


• having an introduction to the concept art.

In this course you are going to learn how to use Photoshop to complete a scanned sketch by adding the inking and the color with different lawyers and brushes. This technique is a very common one in the comicbook creation process and is vital to be known if you want to produce illustrations rapidly .

Photoshop for Lunch™ is a series of short video courses you can study in bite size pieces such as at lunchtime. In this course you will learn how to make a custom character font using Photoshop to create the font characters themselves. Once this is done you will upload the completed template and download your finished font ready to install and use it on your computer. This class includes general information about fonts and creating them and uses a free online service to convert the design to a font. There is also a bonus video which shows how to create a custom handwriting font. If you  have never made your own font before you are going to be amazed at how easy it is and how much fun too!

In Character Design in Photoshop we will cover the design phase of one character meant for a video game production and transferable to other media, from first conception to fully rendered splash or key art for promotional purposes. Students will learn how to initially thumbnail a design before taking it to a rough and then finalized front/back character rotation, including this character’s costume and equipment.
